Hurray, we are disease- free after seventy!

Because that is when insurance stops covering our medical insurance!

“Hurray, we are disease- free after seventy!, said the ‘insurance’, after decades of collecting premiums from me!” cried my uncle. “Now is the time that I am unemployed and unwell,   and the insurance doesn’t cover me. I have to dig into my savings!”

“My premium payments were the highest during my last few years!” said another uncle.

If every citizen pays those substantial amounts to a government initiated insurance instead, it would’ve helped fund a lot more to the ageing population. 😞

Should the insurance institution be taken over by the government instead! 🤔

It’s so ironic and unfair that at a time when seniors need it the most, the coverage is not there.
