To be remembered as a teacher because of singing

To be remembered as a teacher because of singing

Whenever I read social media,  many batches of former students would remember me as one who made them sing during breaks.

When they came back from oversea to visit me,  we would go to Karoake joint to sing!

To be remembered as a teacher

every comment

of them remembering me

is making them sing

every short breaks

especially dry topics

and they loved it then

not because it’s fun

listening, talking to them

mine, would follow suit!

I learned singing too

from these young school leavers, then

mutual agendas!

  1. Being remembered for singing and making others sing has to be one of the very best legacies ever!

    1. The young school leavers are fluent only in Malay language. If I communicate long enough with them in English, mine would have gone down the drain, too!
Teaching them in English was a challenge. So, singing only English songs is a strategy to improve their English. Surprisingly, they were pretty good when it came to singing English songs. Thank you for your comment, Geoffrey!

    1. Yes, so nice for them to come back. It was a mix feeling singing together at the karoake joint.
