When a gift is not appreciated…

A senyru poem
**********
ever come across
gifts unappreciated
and unwanted?
************
a gifter so sad
is my gift not good enough?
Should I redo it?
***********

I wonder if people will appreciate intangible gifts better, like a genuine smile, a hug, or a kiss?

Oh gift giving is so anxiety inducing!

It is even harder for the gifter who may feel inadequate that her gift may be insufficient, Pat! We practice giving red packets with money in it during Chinese New year.

It is sometimes as hard to accept a gift as it is for the giver to feel that the gift was truly loved and appreciated. The giver never knows if it is the person giving the gift, the gift itself, the receivers suspicions about the purpose/cost/appropriateness of the gift itself…

Most of us never learn how to accept gifts. I never had a problem with giving, but acted like a fool when I received a present.

Lol, Bridget! But a gifter can feel inadequate at times, fearing the gift may not be good enough.
