Kids’ silent cry for help

Kids’ silent cry for help

*******

A smile is just a smile

while the pain’s hidden, unseen

until suicides… too late

as kids’ silent cry for help

goes unheeded

********

Kids need a safe space

to express themselves

A need to communicate

their feelings, stress, and anxieties

to build confidence and self-esteem

*********

whose roles are these?

to pick up kids’ silent cries for help?

mental healthcare professionals

need more training?

*******

Healthcare professionals only?

schools, parents, social workers,

and the law enforcers?

Public helplines and

governmental support?

*************************

Forgive me, for all the things I did but mostly for the ones that I did not.

There are wounds that never show on the body that are deeper and more hurtful than anything that bleeds.

  1. I worked with those kids and tried to educate their parents. I know what you mean!

Oh this is a tough one. Definitely more resources and training are needed to support our youth today and the growing mental health challenges.

    1. Unfortunately, those suicidal are often handled by the law enforcer… it should by the healthcare and social workers!
