Who is sleeping in class?

Caught sleeping in class?
It is a dilemma
for both the teacher
and the student.
****
“… either your baby
had been keeping you
up the whole night,
or you’re burning midnight oil
for the coming major test!”
******
Hand-in-hand
with the student
(who was caught sleeping in my class)
we paced up and down
as the class discussed further.
****
“Do you agree with this answer?”
This student gave her view.
“Now go back to your seat!”
By then, she was wide-awake,
so was… the whole class!
Or they will be the next
to walk up and down
the class with me! š
****
The other effective method
was to make
that particular student
come out and
operate my slide
as I paced up and down
the classroom during a discussion,
especially a discussion
before a summative assessment!
********
As a maths teacher I never slept in the class but sometimes I felt to sleep. And my students also don’t get time to sleep in class šš well shared

Buongiorno
Ciao e buona giornata
Natalia

Teachers have a very tough job trying to manage so many different personalities and energy levels in a class!
