Go fly a kite safely

Driving past an open field,

many kite-flying enthusiasts,

many colourful designed kites

a wonderful hobby

dreams soaring up the wind!

My mind went back

decades ago,

a most painful sight in ER

where an unconsolable mother

howling and stumping her chest,

while doctors tried in vain

to save her two young sons

with major electrical burns.

It was a grave reminder

that kite-flying

needs to be supervised

and not to fly a kite near

any electrical power line!

Should all kites sold

carry a safety precaution, too?
