Grieving and moving on

Grieving and moving on

****

One grieves the loss of

amputated breast(s), anus,

there’s no turning back

****

One grieves the loss of

a dear deceased, loved one

both have to move on

****

One grieves for a child

once normal, now disabled

it’s a new path now

****

Letting go is hard

yet letting go is caring

to venture new paths

****

Letting go, is love

to care, to free, one lets go,

let go of control

“Things we lose have a way of coming back to us in the end, if not always in the way we expect.”

J. K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

I’m sorry Serena. The few things you’ve shared here give me a small sense of the hardships you’ve endured. Your ability to find light and lessons in them for us is inspiring. Thank you.
