Reminiscing a reunion

Reminiscing a reunion

Social media enables a verbal ‘reunion’

Old faded pictures emerge from old albums…

Excitingly and childishly, baby boomers reminisce

the good and carefree days…

That’s me, is that you?

Who is this pretty girl?

and this handsome boy?

Can’t remember, …

we need more walnuts. (for our brain cells)

‘And where have you been all these fifty years?’

‘Hibernating… in the soil

… and just woke up, ‘ replied a former badminton ace.

In the background, was a class monitor, and he still is.

So he gathers his flock

all over this village globe

for a fiftieth anniversary.

But some sheep were lost.

Where have they gone to?

Hard knocks shaped the lives of many.

Yet together and hopefully, most will reunite in a coming physical meet.

************

New friends are silver, but old are gold

Don’t count the years…count the memories

Memories are the threads that hold together the patchwork of friendship.

“*Reminiscing a reunion* is akin to finding a neddle-in-a-haystack, *&*
like the experience finding a diamond in the rough
