He used to sit there watching

through the window

Now the chair looks

forlornly empty.

Where are the people? (Photo by Nataliya Vaitkevich on Pexels.com)

Where are the customers?

Are the drivers working from home?

Where are the people on the street?

It’s a quantum leap

for online shoppings.

Will the malls be irrelevant?

  2. I think shops with products you can easily order online are in trouble. Restaurants, movie theaters, beauty salons, etc. will be mall friendly.

I went into the office today after working remotely for most of the last year and a half. It is a very different world out there for sure. Subways and buses very empty even during rush hour. I hope things fully return to normal one day soon.
