The Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated in Malaysia with lanterns and moon cakes.

When young, we kids used to walk around the village with lanterns in our hands at night. Making lanterns used to be out Art projects, too.

Today, most would play in their own garden.

I asked my daughter if she can make moon cakes. She would say “easy -peasy, mum!” Like Haoyando said “it’s a piece of cake!”

We’ve had one small moon cake already and my hubby’s colleague dropped off one on Monday. A great time of the year.

    Enjoy yours!!!

    1. The children enjoy it more… With lanterns.. The malls, streets, and temples are beautifully decorated with lanterns. Beautiful boxes of mooncake displayed for sales. But the mood is just not the same with COVID-19 around!
