Nature’s recipe: If one is lost and hungry in a jungle, …
I saw a post about sashimi. I am not used to eating raw meat or fish. But this nature’s recipe is crawlingly raw! It is palm sago worms which is also known as Butod locally.
To the locals, Sago Grub or Sago Worm is a delicacy eaten raw or fried. These creamy, yellow, and fat worms are rich in protein. They are sold at US$0.25 each (RM40 – 45 per Kg)! They are still a hot selling item in local market.
I saw this picture (below) in my former student’s social media site. I asked for her experience before writing this post.
That brings me to a question. If one is lost and hungry in a jungle, would one try this nature’s delicious delight?

I am unsure if I am starving and can force self to eat this grub. I really wonder myself.
