Should kids experience fall and get up on their own?
Today’s children are well-cushioned;
helmets, elbow and knee pads.
So they don’t experience injury and pain.
Will this soft ‘brick’ withstand ‘hard knocks‘ ?

but in rising every time we fall – Nelson Mandela.
💜 Parental Anxiety Damages Kids far more than Allowing Kids Free Reigns to Experiment and Experience EveryOne; as a Writer I Do a Lot of Observing and Reporting and I Conclude that there ARE, Broadly, Two Different Types of Parents on The Kerbside waiting with Their Kids to Cross a Busy Road…there’s The Anxious Parent who insists on Hand Holding and Transfers Anxiety to Their Kids; then there’s Parents who have established a Communicative Relationship with Their Kids who Learn Early On to Wait at The Kerbside, Look Left, Look Right and Then, When Clear, Cross The Road…as a ChildLess Male I Just Want to Acknowledge that this Mode of Parenting is NOT!!! as Simple it Sounds; that’s probably why I AM ChildLess EveryOne…it’s Horrible Little Brats; for whom I’ll Only Ever Be an Uncle who is There For Them while Living The Simple Life of a ChildLess, Single Writer

I remember my wife rang me one time and she said our nine year old at the time had just fallen off the top of the side fence. I said to her to wait a few seconds. Then she replied that she had just seen him running towards the bush out the back. I said well he is obviously alright then 😊

When my younger brother fell on the sidewalk and started crying, I was shocked when my mom and my aunt waited and watched from the kitchen window. When no one came running, he got up and walked away. It was a parenting lesson I never forgot.
